AgReliant Genetics is a leader in genetic research and development using a unique and aggressive approach to develop the best hybrids for our customers. We have one of the largest corn breeding programs in North America giving our customers more choices and maximum flexibility.
Perfecting stable, high yielding hybrids requires a far reaching testing network.  We span the globe looking for the best germplasm to add to our already robust product pipeline.  Our research network consists of 11 breeding stations in North America as well as breeding stations in Puerto Rico and South America.  Additionally, our Research department interacts closely with Groupe Limagrain and KWS, the two largest corn breeding programs in Europe.
Strategically located research sites around the world allow us to capitalize on geographic diversity and accelerate hybrid advancement.

The purpose of research is to develop the next generation of hybrids with desired characteristics such as higher yields, resistance to drought, insects and diseases and improved feed value. This involves large scale field experimentation, laboratory analysis of grain and plant samples and the use of molecular marker technology for genetic analysis. Thousands of new products are evaluated each year at our testing network of over 400 locations throughout the Midwest and Canada.

To accelerate hybrid development, AgReliant Genetics has become an industry leader in Doubled Haploid technology, using our own proprietary technology for the derivation of Doubled Haploid inbred lines.  Doubled Haploid technology allows the development of 100% homozygous inbred lines in one year rather than three years using conventional breeding methods.   Our Research products are among the leading products in the industry with several of them having been granted U.S. patents.
